Locality: Venezuela, State of Cojedes, Rio Salinas, tributary of Rio Pajo Viejo, El Bal.
Etymology: Gr. habros, pretty, delicate, dainty.
Size: The largest specimen found measures 20.1 mm SL. Aquarium specimens reach 28.0 mm SL males, 36.0 mm SL females.
In older aquarium literature Corydoras habrosus has erroneously been called Corydoras cochui, which is a totally different species from the Rio xingu system in central Brazil.
